About Merlot

Similar to Cabernet Sauvignon but with less tannin and fruit. Delivers earlier maturing wines. Often blended with Cabernet; on its own may soften with age, though fruit flavors may fade.

Nasty, Rank, Almost threw up. I had better table wine in Chile this summer. And for 20 USD/bottle I was ripped off.

Did not seem as smooth as other merlots I have had. Strong aftertaste. Did not care for this wine.

Nice and bold, just the way i like it! My friend's and i had a red wine night. This wine really stood out, and it's 'legs' were commented on by everyone.

It was a "sharp" tasting wine with a strong aftertaste. It was not the worst I've ever drank, but it was close.

subtle and enjoyable finish. I enjoyed it without the accompaniment of food. It is a very nice, but overall average wine. No complaints.

The only comment was that I was a little apprehensive about tasting the wine when I saw the corks up halfway out of the bottle and the wrapping off. But, still was good.

I much prefer white wines to red. I was happily surprised by this Merlot. I would definitely recommend it to others who prefer white to red when they would like to experiment with a red.
