About Merlot

Similar to Cabernet Sauvignon but with less tannin and fruit. Delivers earlier maturing wines. Often blended with Cabernet; on its own may soften with age, though fruit flavors may fade.

This wine was almost undrinkable. I find it difficult to like Merlots, and this did not make it any easier. I was very disappointed by my first shipment.

I didn't think the wine was full-bodied and I thought it had a "tinny" or acidic tast. It definitely is not my favorite Merlot.

Very bitter sulpher taste when tasted 15 minutes after opening. Taste hadn't improved an hour after opening bottle so the rest of the wine was thrown away.

Wonderful jam flavors on the very first sip! This merlot is light bodied, but can stand up to a hearty steak, as it has a slight flavor of pepper to it.
