2004 Sweetwater California Merlot

2004 Sweetwater California Merlot

This is a true California wine, as grapes were sourced from throughout the state in creating the cuvee. It’s an easy-drinking Merlot that offers soft cherry fruit, accented by sweet vanilla.

About Merlot

Similar to Cabernet Sauvignon but with less tannin and fruit. Delivers earlier maturing wines. Often blended with Cabernet; on its own may soften with age, though fruit flavors may fade.

Was a little disappointed. Seemed to be a unremarkable Merlot. Other wines have been very enjoyable.

This was a delicious tasting Merlot. One of the better ones I have ever tasted. The cherry gave it a hint of sweetness. Will I be able to purchase more of it?

Absolutely delicious! Sweet, deep, dark fruit flavors... almost like liquid jam! Hints of pepper with a wonderful aroma. Definitely looking forward to my other two bottles! Would be perfect with a nice steak.
