About Sangiovese
Medium to full, dry, light spiced wine that ages well. Core of many great Italian wines including Brunnedllo di Montalcino, a rare, costly Tuscan red wine loaded with luscious fruits and chewy tannins.

Nice and smooth, but rich in flavor.
I thought this was an excellent wine for the price. It was a nice medium bodied wine with cherry and berry flavors. It had a rather mild aroma and finish. We liked enough to order another 1/2 case.
I don't usually buy Sangiovese wine but I throughly enjoyed this bottle. It had a feeling of warmth and smoothness with just the right amount of oak. This one is a winner!
Very nice flavour, smooth after taste.

Absolutley LOVED this red! Big flavor for small price!
excellent!
Great. First order, very nice.
I am no wine expert by any means, but I truly enjoyed this bottle. With each sip, the flavor burst in my mouth and left a very pleasant taste.
Very Smooth

A nice light red that could go well with fish. Certainly not a heavy taste, but definitely enjoyable.
Perfectly complimented with a fine steak.
I am not a big "rose" fan, but found this wine very interesting. I drank it chilled on a hot summer day, and it was very refreshing
I loved this wine. Goes great with steak. Full flavor yet soft noted, would serve well with poultry.
very light-bodied; little complexity
-
Does not compare favorably with Tuscan Sangiovese.
The wine was very sour 3 out of 5 tasters did not like it
My first Sangiovese. It tasted light and slightly bitter. I was expecting a rich flavor like a good Cab. Can't tell if it was a "good" Sangio. or not but I wasn't thrilled with the less than robust flavor. I like very rich tastes and so far like my Cabs the best for this reason.
rich and smooth
Maybe just a little too dry when served with Pork Ribs and BBQ Sauce
-
Thin, over-oaked, no varietal character.
Really lovely and a surprize that it has such complexity at this price. Love the berry flavors.

Not bad. I enjoyed a glass prior to dinner with a bit of crackers and cheese
Tastes much like a Cabernet Sauv, but is a little grittier.
Wonderful aroamas, my husband who usually does not notice the qualities, just loves the as he describes it, smokey smell from the glass.
-
Slightly dry, but with excellent flavor. Overall, a very good choice.
My first Californian Sangiovese. I will now be looking for these.
bitter after taste, however, I do prefer sweeter wines.
WE DIDN'T GET A COMMENT CARD WITH OUR SHIPMENT. WE NORMALLY DRINK WINE IN THE EVENING; BUT WISHED THAT WE SHOULD HAVE HAD IT WITH A SPAGHETTI DINNER. WE DID ENJOY THIS WINE VERY MUCH.

Very Enjoyable, light
This wine was aweful.Do not recommend.
Had this with steak/pineapple grilled on the bbq together and it was perfect.
We used the rating of 4 as "we would buy the wine if we saw it somewhere". A rating of 5 would mean we would consider a case. Nice Italian - like wine. We had the wine with a sirloin and it held up quite well.
went well b/bbq, grilled onions & tomatoes, would buy

I usually don't care much for red wine, but this was very good. Would purchase again.
Rating: 4 1/2 this is a great wine; full of rich tannins

Lacking in depth and character. It was okay, just not great.

I liked the lightness of this red. I shared some of this with my boss. We both loved the lightness and the taste. We savored the taste on the tongue
Good wine. Best with pasta or something light. We tried with a steak, and it was overpowered. Tasted better after breathing for a while.

Excellent wine!! Please get another supply soon!!
This wine is not very heavy and doesn't leave a bad after taste. I found it to be a bit strong on the alcohol side, but paired with select cheeses it was very good.

very smooth
Maybe I received a "bad" bottle . . . but it was so "sour" that after one glass we poured the rest of the bottle down the drain !!!
Rich and fruity - we liked it a lot

Very very good flavor.
Awesome! We went with a "4" only because this is our first wine with the club and we want to leave room at the top. We enjoyed it with six cheese tortellini with red sauce. The cherry flavor and aroma was outstanding.
Pleasantly surprised with fruit-forwardness
