About Chenin Blanc

Native of Loire valley in France. Grapes have high acidity and need plenty of sun to ripen. The foundations of great long-lived whites, such as Vouvray. In South Africa and California can give soft, fruity wines with notes of melon, peach and citrus.

    It was a nice mixture of sweet and dry. A definite release from the wines that have currently been drank in my home.

    I realy liked this wines very citrus flavor. Very light and refreshing. I cheet and add a squeeze of lemon or lime to some of my wines. Not needed in this one.

    To my taste this wine was unacceptable. Very little flavor and absolutely no finish. I would not order it.

    Worst wine I've ever had. Lifeless. Almost no flavor, like colored water.

    Much to sweet for our taste. Strong apple taste with a bouquet of pinapple. Did not go well with the salmon we had last night when we opened it.

    For $12.99 I can get a much better wine wine locally. I did like it better the second day I had it open when it was more chilled. I hope the wines get better or my membership will not continue.

    I have not tried a Chenin Blanc before so am not sure what it was supposed to taste like. All I really got was that it didn't go well with food. It was tolerable by itself.

    Only the apple flavor was detected. We saved one glass each for the next evening just to see overnight results. None noted. Would not re-purchase.
