About Merlot

Similar to Cabernet Sauvignon but with less tannin and fruit. Delivers earlier maturing wines. Often blended with Cabernet; on its own may soften with age, though fruit flavors may fade.

I found this wine a bit too rough and slightly scratchy at first, but it improved in after few mininutes in the glass, and its finish was pleasant. The bottle you sent me had part of the foil torn off the top, but the cork was intact.

THE WINE WAS GREAT WITH FOOD FROM THE MALISE AREA OF ITALY. THE WINE WAS VERY SIMILAR TO THE LOCAL WINES OF THAT REGION. MY HUSBAND IS FROM THERE AND WE REALLY ENJOYED THE WINE, AS DID OUR GUESTS!
