About Chenin Blanc

Native of Loire valley in France. Grapes have high acidity and need plenty of sun to ripen. The foundations of great long-lived whites, such as Vouvray. In South Africa and California can give soft, fruity wines with notes of melon, peach and citrus.

This wine was fruity but had an acrid, bitter aftertaste. This is one I would definitely not reorder.

Chenin Blanc is my favorite white wine; however, this was the worst I have ever tasted. I would not ship this to any other members.

everyone raved about this wine when I brought it out but sad to say I never got a chance to try because it was gobbled up too fast...all I can say is what everyone else said--"absolutely divine! Especially for a white!"

Everthing was good but the wine lacked character. There was a fair amount of acid in the first sip that almost created puckerde lips but it was well balenced in the finish. I rate it a 2 because it is forgetable and lacks complexity.
