This was one of the best chardonnays I have had in a while. Not overly oaky, well balanced and a bit of minerality that complenmented the lemon and honey flavors. We had it with a basque chicken (similar to paella)and found it complemented the slightly spicy and rich rice and chicken dish very well. This wine would be excellent without food as well, say on a warm summer evening, due to the subtlety of the oak.
