About This Wine

Scott and Lynn Adams own several vineyards, but the Lily Hill Estate is home.

Located on the western slope of the Dry Creek Valley in Sonoma County, Lily Hill is situated directly above Bella Vineyards’ wine cave. “We are privileged to be stewards to Lily Hill’s 10 acres of old-vine Zinfandel,” Scott tells us. “Those weathered vines (which were planted in 1915) give us ultra-ripe, concentrated fruit that brings intense flavor and complexity to our wines.”

Winemaker Joe Healy added a small portion of Petite Sirah to the 2008 vintage, which he calls “another standout” for Bella’s Estate Zinfandel. “It has a seamless balance between mouthwatering acidity and silky-smooth texture,” Healy notes.

Bella’s vineyard holdings include Big River Ranch in the Alexander Valley and Belle Canyon Vineyard in Dry Creek Valley. But as Bella’s Estate Zinfandel proves with each new vintage, there is no place like home.

About Zinfandel

California's own grape variety. Red Zinfandel (not to be confused with "white" Zinfandel) can produce full-bodied wines packed with ripe berry fruit and smooth tannins. Flavors of blackberries and spicy pepper.
