About This Wine
Different winemakers have different approaches to their craft and business.
Take Claudio Manera, the enologist for Araldica, the Italian wine company that produces Alasia Moscato d’Asti. Manera believes that great wines should be available not just to a privileged few, but to anyone who has an interest in wine.
“Our intention never has been to follow an idle dream of making great wine that is then impossible to find or difficult to afford,” he says. “Our ambition has been to provide a range that is both understandable and accessible — simply, wine for drinking and enjoying.”
That’s certainly an apt description of the Alasia Moscato d’Asti, a delightful wine that’s semi-sparkling, seductively sweet and absolutely delicious. It’s the perfect companion to a fruit salad or a slice of lemon pound cake, and also makes a refreshing aperitif on a sunny summer day — whether luxuriating on a secluded island beach, or lounging in a backyard hammock.
