About This Wine

The Bliss family has had a magnet-like connection to the land for three generations.

The Bliss Family Vineyards story begins with Irv Bliss, who was drawn to California’s Mendocino County in the 1930s, attracted by its rolling hills and unspoiled land. After several years, he’d saved up enough money to purchase a 450-acre ranch. Now, six decades later, his grandchildren honor his memory with their Bliss Family Vineyards label.

The 2010 Bliss Family “Estate” Cabernet Sauvignon was crafted from grapes grown in three of the family’s estate vineyards: Bliss Ranch, Contento Ranch and Feliz Ranch. Each site is unique, so the harvest took place over a three-week period in October and November.

Unlike some big, tannic monsters, this is a Cabernet that can be enjoyed now. It’s a juicy and fresh wine that delights the palate with cherry and berry flavors, accented by earth notes from the special land that Irv Bliss loved so much.

About Cabernet Sauvignon

Deep color and richness with the potential to age a long time, and better still if aged in oak before bottling. Classic flavors blackcurrant, plum, cherry and spice. The most popular varietal of red wine in America.
