About This Wine

There is a name synonymous with excellence in German wine circles: Hermann.

Rudi Hermann has been tending vineyards and making wines in the Mosel region of southwestern Germany since 1967 — when it still was known as Mosel-Saar-Ruwer. In 2001, his son Christian officially joined the family business. Today, this dynamic father-and-son team continues to raise the bar in the crafting of fine German wines.

The Hermanns’ success begins in the vineyard with natural cultivation of the soil, focused pruning of the grapevines and hand-harvesting of the grapes. Once the grapes reach the cellar, they’re fermented and aged in stainless steel tanks in order to protect the luscious fruit flavors.

It’s a “formula” that is ingenious in its simplicity, and that has been working for the Hermann family for more than five decades. The 2010 “Dr. H” Riesling beautifully balances its sweet and tart qualities in a refreshing style that begs for another sip... and another.

About Riesling

One of the world's great grapes. Distinctive floral bouquet with balancing acidity. Grows best in cool areas where grapes ripen slowly. Subject to " noble rot", making wines of great richness and sweetness. Low alcohol.
