About This Wine

It’s amazing what a group of friends can accomplish when they share a vision and a goal.

That’s what Communal Brands is: friends who love wine, and have merged their wide-ranging talents to create labels featuring exceptional wines from all around the world — Italy, France, Spain, New Zealand, California, Washington and even Vermont (the latter for a wine made from apples).

One of the Washington wines — a Cabernet Sauvignon crafted from grapes grown in a vineyard adjacent to the Red Mountain appellation in the vast Columbia Valley region — is bottled under the Grapesmith & Crusher moniker. The label is a nod to simpler times, when the problems of the day could be solved with a good friend and a good glass of wine.

The 2010 harvest produced low grape yields, concentrated grapes, and ultimately a full-bodied wine that’s brimming with fruit, earth and oak-influenced flavors. It’s an amazing wine from an amazing group of people.
