About This Wine
Looking for a tasty poolside wine?
You’ve come to the right place with Chateau de Campuget’s Rosé of Syrah and Grenache. Campuget is a beautiful wine property in Costieres de Nimes that dates back to 1640. The soil is typical for the region, with many stones that force roots to find water deep in the lower layers of clay. This contributes additional character to the wines.
The property is managed by Jean-Lin Dalle, assisted by his son Franck-Lin, who is named after one of Jean-Lin's heroes: Benjamin Franklin. Chateau de Campuget, which has belonged to the Dalle family since 1941, produces AOC Costieres de Nimes wines exclusively.
The Campuget Rosé’s color is obtained through a short maceration of between four and 12 hours. Fermentation takes place in stainless-steel tanks at a cool temperature to extract the maximum aromas. After racking and filtration, the wine is bottled at the chateau, ready for immediate enjoyment — poolside, or anywhere.
About Syrah
Very dark, rich, powerful wines with great aging potential (as long as 50 years), yet still can be drunk relatively young. Distinct pepper, spice, cherry and leather flavors, with smooth, supple texture. Embodied in majestic wines from France, Australia and, increasingly, California.
