About This Wine
Delle Venezie is where some of Italy’s most creative winemakers congregate.
That includes the vintner for Ca’ Solare, whose talents are on display for all to enjoy in the 2015 Ca’ Solare Pinot Grigio.
What is it about Delle Venezie that has turned the area into a magnet for talented winemakers? Unlike in other parts of Italy, the wines can be produced inter-regionally among the “Tre Venezie” regions of Veneto, Friuli-Venezia Giulia and Trentino-Alto Adige. Fruit from throughout this area (with the exception of Alto Adige) may be utilized in the cellar, with no restrictions on blending.
For the first time, this has made possible the development of a “house style” for any given wine, a way for a winemaker to demonstrate his or her special talents. There’s no doubt that the Ca’ Solare vintner has a deft touch with Pinot Grigio, as the 2015 vintage is crisp, fresh and absolutely delicious.
