About This Wine
Club members say they love Moscato d'Asti from Il Conte d'Alba, and we believe in giving members what they want.
Each harvest season, Il Conte d'Alba makes wine from Muscat grapes. Later in the year, it blends the wine from two or three vintages into a sumptuous, slightly sweet, semi-sparkling cuvee. Over the past five years, the resulting Moscato d'Asti bottlings have been among our best sellers. In fact, they even provided the inspiration for the development of the fastest growing club in Vinesse history — the Light & Sweet Wine Club.
This latest rendition is another winner, full of pear, star fruit and vanilla flavor, with just enough spritz to tickle the nose. It only makes sense that such an enticing and engaging wine would come from Alba, a Piedmont community where culinary delights abound.
From its floral aroma (locals describe it as "elderflower" and "acacia") to its fruitful flavor to its refreshing finish, Il Conte d'Alba has produced yet another magnificent Moscato d'Alba.

It didn't exactly compliment the Italian dinner which I had prepared for guests.

This is by far the best white and also the best sparkling wine I have ever tasted. It has a very subtle, mellow flavor and is not too sweet nor too dry and leaves no after taste to spoil the experience. It is delightful and I normally prefer red wines.
Too sweet
Much too sweet to enjoy.
I loved this wine it was like drinking Asti Spumante without the bubbles.
-
I took this bottle to a cocktail party and everyone wanted to know where I got it. I told them it was from the wine club.
Had better
I gave it the lowest because I do not like sweet or sparkling wines.
I found this wine to be very sweet, and did not like the body of the wine. It was nicely fruity, but I feel that the excessive sweetness detracted from the soft fruit flavors.
It was a little sweeter than I like, but others that tasted it, did like it.

This is the first time I tried a Moscato. My husband and I truly loved this sparkling wine.
Wonderful flavor-- kept its sparkle for a second day. Pre dinner or after dinner delight.
Much too sweet for my taste.
A very sweet wine, you really need a mild cheese to balance it out.
My Husband even enjoyed it and he doesn't like wine!!!
-
A wonderful wine.Sweet and smooth.
Smooth and sweet typical of a Moscato d'Asti. Just did not have a stand out flavor from the rest.
A truly enjoyable wine!
Too sweet for me...I prefer buttery Chardonnay and more full bodied wines.

This wine is slightly sweet and usually I don't like sweet wine especially in a white wine. I would not purchase this wine again.

Very refreshing adn flavorful. Just a hint of sweetness.
To die for--so good. Excellent, sweet, want more.
I really enjoyed the taste.
Just a tad too sweet
-
Smooth and succulent we drank it as desert wine and it topped off the meal wonderfully. By the way desert was pineapple upside down cake and sweet apple pie with french vanilla ice cream.
This wine was Great we shared it with another couple who also loved it.
my husband and I thought at first that this was much too sweet for our taste, but we actually enjoyed it very much, especially with fruit- thanks for introducing us to a wine we ordinarilly wouldn't have tried

Excellent aroma smooth taste; perfect for after work relaxer! my favorite so far!

Great, but almost too sweat and too much like champagne
A fun, bubbly, festive, lively libation,
-
the best so far. I just ordered a case of this wine.
I am not fond of dessert wines, but this was quite good.
Great with dessert
This is just sweet enough to satisfy a sweet tooth and has a wonderful finish. I would definitely buy this again.
absolutely delightful and refreshing! My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed this one with a light entree.
-
If you like a sweet wine with a champagne bubble to it then you'll love this wine
absolutely divine!
This is the second wine that I have tried from the d'alba winery. I am very impressed with both. Sweet yet harty flavored with a hint of fizz. Both of these are wines I will definitly buy again.
I do not like "sparkling wines", nor do I care for sweet wines - sorry....
This was awful. Please, no more Moscato. The last bottle was bad also!!
-
niiiice
For us this was one that suited both and very enjoyable.
Light and sweet! Not far from a "champaign" tast, but with less fizz. Excellant with most light fare, like fish, or chicken. Love it!!!
Loved this one! Really liked the subtle sweetness.
neither my wife nor I liked this wine at all.
-
An absolutely delicious dessert wine. We recieved several compliments on it.
Too sweet. Don't send anymore like this one.
Outstanding choice. Fresh after taste. Goes well with cheese and fruit also with dessert courses.
this is possibly the best Moscato i have tasted. it is sweet , but not too much. It has a light flavor, and the frutiness lingers for a while.

This wine was way too sweet for my taste. It's flavor was O.K. but the bubbles in the glass after pouring tipped me off about its sweetness. Those bubbles also emerge in the mouth and, for me, that takes away from the enjoyment of the wine itself. My wife liked it but then she always has leaned towards sweeter wines. I'll let her drink the rest of this one and I'll wait for my next shipment to see what I get to sample next time.
Way to sweet and more like a champagne - We ask for dry wine and this was definitly not dry!
An excellent light, sweet wine-a great change of pace; very enjoyable.
-
Loved it, the best wine I've received this far!!!
This is a WONDERFULLY SWEET wine that is NOT "sickly sweet"! My husband and I LOVED it! It is light and crisp with an almost pear-like appeal. This sparkling wine is fantastic with chocolate truffles and pairs well with any type of seafood linguine. I highly recommend this wine for tasters who are looking for something for their "lighter" moods but still gives the benefit of a slight grapeskin aftertaste.
too much like bubble gum wine

A special friend came back after being away for 8 years. We had red grapes & cheese variety including choc. fudge cheese. It was great no heartburn
Best Wine I have had so far.

I absolutely loved the fruity bubbliness of this wine. Would definitely buy this one again!
Can I give it a 6? A very great wine. Kind of sweet and real close to champagne. Very fruity with definite pear and hints of rhubarb pie!! Excellent!!
I enjoyed this wine very much. The taste of the Pear and Star Fruit were well balanced. Excellent wine paired with anything cheesy.
