About This Wine
La Marca Prosecco is named for the La Marca Trevigiana zone, located in the heart of Italy’s Prosecco region.
Founded more than 40 years ago, the La Marca winery embraces tradition and innovation, ensuring the highest quality product. In 2007, the winery was included among the “Top 100 Wines of the Year” by Wine Spectator magazine — the only Prosecco producer from the Veneto region to be so honored.
Geographically, Prosecco is associated with the hills in the northern sector of Italy known as the Veneto. The unique soils of the area are perfect for cultivating the Glera grape, which La Marca uses in making its sparkling wines.
Glera is prized for its delicate flavors and aromatics, and La Marca crafts its Prosecco using the Charmat procedure, as the classic Champagne method would mean aging the wine for several years before release, robbing the wine of its freshness — and La Marca Prosecco is all about freshness.
