About This Wine:

It’s a leader in bright, balanced and age-worthy Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. The grapes for the 2016 Chardonnay wine came from several exceptional Sonoma Coast vineyards, including Sangiacomo and Hi Vista in the Carneros region, and sites owned by the renowned Dutton and Martinelli families in the Russian River Valley.

Another key vineyard is winery founder Steve MacRostie’s own Wildcat Mountain Vineyard, situated high up in the volcanic hills of the Petaluma Gap region. Selected for their cool climates and unique growing conditions, each of these vineyards lends distinct and complex characteristics to the cuvee.

Fermentation took place in a mix of French oak barrels (which lent toast and butter notes) and stainless steel tanks (which protected the wonderful fruit flavors). The finished product is another in a long line of benchmark Sonoma Coast Chardonnays from MacRostie.
