About This Wine

“An alcoholic drink taken before a meal to stimulate the appetite.”

That is the definition of “aperitif,” and in the world of wine, there may be no better aperitif than Sauvignon Blanc. It’s a variety that offers everything we want in an aperitif: an aroma that draws us in, flavors that satisfy, and a thirst-quenching quality that keeps us coming back for more.

You’ll experience all of those qualities in the 2015 Sauvignon Blanc from Cross Creek Winery, a specialist in crafting “California cuvees.” Cross Creek has long-term relationships with leading vineyard owners in various growing regions of the Golden State, and each year conducts extensive blending trials to craft a Sauvignon Blanc that is dependably delicious.

The 2015 vintage would pair nicely with grilled shrimp, seared scallops, or a salad with a citrus dressing. Or, use it as an aperitif to stimulate your appetite for those or other dishes you love.

About Sauvignon Blanc

Notable "grassy" aroma, often with notes of apple and citrus fruits. High acidity. Can amaze as a late harvest wine, with rich and complex flavors.

Very good. It didn't have that pear taste that a lot of the Chardonnays have. Definitely recommended and would love to try again
