About This Wine
We quote Carl Philipp Emanuel Bach (1714-1788)...
A grace note is an ornament or embellishment to a musical composition that “is not only useful, but indispensable. They connect the notes; they give them life. They emphasize them, and illustrate the sentiments, be they sad or merry; the best melody without them may seem obscure and meaningless.”
The family behind this wine decided to honor their beloved friend, Grace, with the Gracenote label. Her short time on earth, love of music and admirable approach to life inspires each of them daily, and this label helps keep her memory alive with each new harvest.
The 2016 harvest in California’s famed Napa Valley gave Gracenote’s winemaker some special grapes with which to work. The resulting wine is ruby red in hue, soft and savory in the mouth, and has a smooth finish with a kiss of sweetness. It’s a special wine, honoring the life of a special lady.
