About This Wine
Year after year, Long Street Winery can be counted upon to craft a sublime bottling of Chardonnay.
And the 2016 vintage is no exception. So what’s the secret? Long Street is obsessed with quality and consistency, and that means working strictly with quality-focused grape growers in regions of California where Chardonnay thrives.
When grown in the right soils with the right sun exposure on vines that are tended throughout the year, Chardonnay grapes are packed with flavor. The specific flavors can vary from region to region — i.e., from cool climate to hot climate — which is why Long Street works with growers throughout the state. This method gives the winemaker numerous “tools” with which to work in assembling the ultimate cuvee.
For 2016, juicy pear and peach are the featured fruit flavors, complemented by a nice kiss of vanilla spice. It’s another in a long line of delicious Chardonnays from Long Street Winery.
Relatively easy to grow in a variety of locations. Consistently produces some of the world's great white wines. Complex, full, rich and fruity with soft edges and moderate acidity.
