About This Wine:
Chile’s primary vine cultivation area is measured by width rather than length, climatically speaking. The height of the Andes provides lower temperatures, while the coast benefits from its western orientation and icy Humboldt current. These two features create cool continental winds, allowing grape growing closer to the equator and resulting in wines with higher acidity and elegant aromas.
There are distinct climatic and soil variations among the individual sub-regions in the valley. The Central Valley’s regions are, from north to south: Rapel, Cachapoal, Colchagua, Curico, and Maule. Each area brings distinct qualities to the grapes grown within their boundaries.
The 2017 Las Prisas Sauvignon Blanc is a blend of grapes from top Valle Central vineyards, expertly blended to create a cuvee that is crisp, bright and delicious — either with food or solo.
