About This Wine:

It is comprised of several sub-regions, each with a unique climate that lends itself to the growing of specific grape varieties. One such sub-region is the Curico Valley, south of Santiago, a land characterized by gently rolling hills ideal for growing Malbec grapes.

A temperate Mediterranean-like climate predominates in Curico, with hot summer days giving way to cool, vine-resting evenings. It’s a setting where the grapes are able to develop fully without maturing too quickly.

Curico is the region to which the Spanish wine legend, Miguel Torres, gravitated when he began making wine in Chile in 1979. Torres brought with him a number of winemaking techniques and technologies that have had a significant impact on the Chilean wine industry, including at Las Prisas. The special fruit of Curico and the technology of Las Prisas combine to create a truly delicious Malbec wine.
