About This Wine:
In 2005, Perrier-Jouet teamed with internationally acclaimed visual artist Vik Muniz of Brazil to design the limited-edition “Belle Epoque” Brut. To decorate the bottle, Muniz conceived a fairy-tale encounter of a dazzling golden hummingbird with the iconic Perrier-Jouet anemone.
The 2011 vintage carries on the “Belle Epoque” tradition, preserving the house style while emphasizing the unique character of the vintage. Winemaker Hervé Deschamps brought out the freshness and elegance of the Chardonnays from the grand crus of Cramant and Avize, the generosity and complexity of the Pinot Noir from Montagne de Reims, and the rounded charm of the Pinot Meunier from Dizy.
With six years of aging in Perrier-Jouet’s cellars, the result is a wonderfully harmonious sparkling wine that displays invigorating freshness and a fine balance of smoothness and acidity — ideal for special-occasion toasting or accompanying a meal.
