About This Wine:
But unlike many Italian immigrants, the Carracos did not settle in Argentina or Chile. In 1875, they established roots in Brazil. Several generations later, patriarch Lidio Carraro founded a winery and was joined by his sons, Giovanni and Juliano.
In this family operation, Giovanni and Juliano now oversee the winemaking process, while Lidio maintains the same vineyards that his family planted so many years ago. Lidio Carraro was the first Brazilian winery to be internationally recognized as a top-quality boutique winery, and was named the official wine of the 2014 World Cup.
Head winemaker Monica Rossetti combines skills learned from making wine in France and Italy’s Alto Adige region with the Carraro family’s commitment to quality. The “Agnus” label represents the lamb, a symbol of purity, joy, and passion — born from the winery's purist philosophy and a tribute to the Brazilian terroir.
