About This Wine:

The Maori, who are native to New Zealand, believe in four winds that originated when their god, Tawhirimatea, sent his sons to the four quarters of the world. The second wind, Tonga, blows south in the summer, bringing warm air that helps the wine grapes attain maximum ripeness in the long, cool maritime climate of New Zealand.

The 2018 Second Wind Sauvignon Blanc was crafted from vineyards across Marlborough’s sub-regions, including the Awatere Valley. The fruit was carefully monitored throughout the growing season and harvested upon reaching optimum flavor development and ripeness.

Transported to the winery immediately and pressed off with minimal skin contact, the resulting juice was cool fermented in stainless steel to retain freshness and aromatics. The finished wine is full of fresh aromas and flavors of citrus and passion fruit — making it a quintessential… not to mention delicious… Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc.
