About This Wine:
As the winemaker for Gracenote, his approach with Pinot Noir has always been to respect the vineyard and let it speak for itself through the wine glass. But that’s not to say he leaves anything to chance.
Throughout the growing season, Renaudin works closely with his colleagues in the vineyard to ensure the grapes achieve full maturity without getting too ripe. When the grapes are ready, he then oversees the harvest, as well as the sorting and gentle de-stemming at the winery.
The attention to detail carries through into the cellar, where everything from the speed of the fermentation to the selection of the barrels to be used for aging is taken into account. The 2017 Gracenote Pinot Noir, crafted from grapes grown in Sonoma County’s Russian River Valley, speaks volumes for Renaudin’s approach.
