About This Wine:

Across Europe, families were settling back into “normal” lifestyles — as normal as possible, anyway, since so many lives had been taken or touched and forever changed. In Italy two brothers, Fulvio and Domenico Cortecchia, established a business to produce and sell that country’s favorite beverage: wine.

Today, as is common in so many Italian wineries, second-generation members of the Cortecchia family oversee the operation. And a member of the third generation, Erika, works closely with the winemaking staff to ensure that quality remains the No. 1 cellar consideration.

You can experience that quality by tasting the 2017 Sansedoni Montepulciano d'Abruzzo. It’s crafted from Montepulciano grapes grown in the Abruzzo region of east-central Italy. Purple in hue with good density, it offers a nice balance of Old World and New World styles — a delicious portrait of one Italian family’s passion for winemaking.
