About This Wine:
But that did not stop Luigi Dezzani from soldiering forward with his long-held dream. Using grapes grown locally in the Piedmont region of Italy, Dezzani founded his own winery. He managed to survive World War II, and in the 1970s passed the business along to his son, Romolo.
It was Romolo who transformed the Dezzani winery from basically a local enterprise into one that had fans and customers all over Italy. Then came the next generation — Franca, Luigi and Giovanni — and they have helped open up international markets for Dezzani.
Today, the non-vintage Dezzani Moscato — with its intense aroma, light bubbly style, fresh mouthfeel and sweet flavors — is a sought-after wine in Piedmont, throughout Italy and here in the United States. Because of its low alcohol level, it’s perfect for pouring at parties, is appealing with appetizers and goes great with desserts.
