About This Wine:
The Guy de Chassey estate is nestled at the foot of the Montagne de Reims in the village of Louvois, which is one of only 17 villages in France’s Champagne appellation to hold 100% Grand Cru status. It farms all of its grapes in Louvois and the neighboring Bouzy and Tauxieres Mutry.
Today, Champagne Guy de Chassey is overseen by Marie-Odile de Chassey, whose daughter Ingrid expertly monitors the vinification, carrying out most of the vineyard work by hand and producing just enough grapes to craft just 4,000 cases of wine each year.
The “Cuvee de Buretel” is a multi-vintage cuvee of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, which Ingrid blends to a house style that is light yellow in hue, shows off a fine, nose-tickling mousse, and exhibits a rich, creamy texture — a delicious special-occasion Champagne.
