About This Wine:

There are two main factors: the grapes, and what the winemaker does with them. In the case of the 2017 Quail Hollow Cabernet, the grapes were grown in the Red Hills American Viticultural Area, an up-and-coming region that many prestigious Napa Valley wineries are investing in to produce super-premium Cabs.

Following the 2017 harvest, those grapes were transported to the winery, crushed, fermented and then aged in barrels. That barrel aging lent both aromatic and flavor complexity to the finished product.

This full-bodied, rich wine features bright cherry and berry fruit that glides along the palate. Smooth tannins and pleasant vanilla, oak and toast notes round out the long, elegant finish. A wonderful sipping wine for cool fall and winter nights, it’s also an ideal companion to a flat iron steak with demi-glace sauce and roasted fingerling mash. Solo or with food, it’s a great Cab.
