About This Wine:

Eugene Wine Cellars was conceived by Biehl in 1998, and the next year his “Urban Winery” was established in the Whitaker neighborhood near downtown Eugene, Oregon. Bruce had been growing grapes all over the state since 1978, and his company had developed hundreds of vineyard operations for other growers.

So it wasn’t a big leap for him to establish his own winery. The “b2” label represents the initials of siblings Bruce, Brad and Beverly Biehl. The Biehl brothers shared interest in agriculture, science and math, which spawned their “family formula” of EWC = b2.

Using fruit primarily from vineyards they manage and control, “b2” focuses on Pinot Noir and Pinot Gris. The winemaking team is committed to old-school practices in the cellar so that the qualities of the grape variety can be expressed in the glass — which explains why the 2017 “b2” Pinot Noir is so delicious.
