About This Wine:
For the family behind Outlot wines, the land is a special area just outside Healdsburg, fondly known to locals as the “Magnolia Peninsula.” Bordered to the west by Dry Creek, to the east by Foss Creek, and to the south by the Russian River, the area has a long and rich history of great ranches and exclusive resorts.
Famous for its rich soil, as much as 24 feet deep in some areas, nurseries and orchards thrived there from the late 1800s, ultimately giving way to the vineyards that are abundant in the area today.
Combine an ideal growing site with an almost perfect growing season, and it’s easy to understand why Outlot’s 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon is such a special wine. Complex, flavorful and finishing long, the wine — which includes splashes of Malbec and Petit Verdot — is a delicious taste of Sonoma County.
