About This Wine:
The estate is located in France’s Languedoc region, and dates to the 13th century when the Lord of Guers was the proprietor. Parts of its centuries-old walls remain standing, but within those walls is an ultra-modern winery that can reliably produce world-class wines that have developed loyal followings.
Since 1997, the estate has been owned by Béatrice and Christophe Muret, who have remained loyal to their forefathers’ vocation while investing in equipment that will ensure its long-term future.
Situated half-way between the Mediterranean Sea and the Massif Central foothills, not far from the historic city of Pézenas, the estate vineyard consists of fine sand, clay and silt carried by the nearby running Hérault waters. The vineyard produces expressive grapes that are transformed into soft and fresh wines like the beguiling 2018 “Les Muriers” Pinot Noir.
