About This Wine:

That’s where Jeff Kandarian was raised, and he knew early on that he wanted to make wine. So he attended California State University at Fresno, which offers an acclaimed enology program. There, also studying chemistry, he earned a Bachelor of Sciences degree.

Then it was on to the vineyards, where Kandarian honed his winemaking skills at some of the most prominent wineries in the Paso Robles region, including Justin, Meridian, Eberle and Shandon Valley Partners. With both solid schooling and practical experience under his belt, he and his family headed north to the cool, coastal climate of Oregon.

Today, Kandarian Wine Cellars focuses on small vineyards and the families behind them. The 2018 Kandarian Pinot Gris comes from Oregon’s Willamette Valley, where high-quality fruit and Kandarian’s non-interventionist approach combine to create a wine that is fruitful, lightly sweet and delicious.
