About This Wine:
So in 2000 a group of Mendocino vintners joined together and created an ultra-premium wine blend that would showcase the region’s heritage grape variety: Zinfandel. To make it even more special, the wine would pay homage to the field blends of those winemakers’ Italian ancestors.
That’s how the Coro Mendocino signature blends came to be. Any Mendocino County winery may make a Coro wine. Guidelines include having between 40% and 70% Zinfandel in the blend, and the finished product must be approved by a panel of local winemakers.
John Parducci and his family founded Parducci Wine Cellars in 1932, and John was nicknamed “Mr. Mendocino” for championing the region’s varieties and cuvees. There would be no Coro Mendocino program without him. And the 2015 Parducci Coro does not disappoint with its rich body and long finish.
