About This Wine:

Steve McIntyre does it because it’s the right thing to do — not only for the health of the vineyard and its long-term viability, but also because it produces healthier grapes that can be transformed into high-quality, expressive wines.

McIntyre’s Pinot Noir vineyard, which provides the grapes for Spring Street Winery’s Pinot Noir, is located in the Monterey growing area of California’s Central Coast region. Like the great Pinot Noir vineyards of Burgundy, it’s planted with three Dijon clones: 115, 667 and Pomard 4 — each possessing its own qualities that lend complexity to cuvees.

An abundance of berry and cherry aromas and flavors define the 2017 vintage from Spring Street Winery. There also are toasted oak notes from aging in oak barrels for a year and a half — another French connection. Savor it solo or with food, and experience the benefits of sustainable farming.
