About This Wine:
The closest American equivalent might by “hillbilly.” In naming Kaesler’s 2017 Shiraz “The Bogan,” winemaker Reid Bosward says he was determined to prove that being a “country bogan” is no barrier to producing the best of fine wines. In other words, he wanted to demonstrate that “a classy red transcends class.”
Crafted from grapes grown in the Nurioopta and Marananga areas of the Barossa Valley, “The Rogan” is a quintessential, full-bodied Shiraz (a.k.a. Syrah) for which Australia is known — brimming with fruit, savory and spice goodness.
The beautifully balanced and long-finishing wine is like your favorite flannel shirt on a winter weekend, providing warmth and oozing personality.
