2019 Le Petit Nicolas Cotes du Lot, France Malbec
From the Cahors area of France, this wine is full of energy and offers a delightful freshness on the finish.
Brand: Le Petit Nicolas
About This Wine:
Cotes du Lot covers wines made in the administrative department of Lot in southwest France, which lies southeast of Bordeaux. Cotes du Lot IGP wines can contain any grape variety that is sanctioned for use in France, but growers have clear favorites: Merlot, Gamay, Cabernet Sauvignon and the mainstay of Cahors — Malbec.
For the Le Petit Nicolas Cotes du Lot Rouge, grapes are procured from the vineyard of Chateau Croze de Pys in Cahors, which is known worldwide for its “Cahors Prestige” bottling. The estate dates back all the way to 1773, and the vineyard has been certified “Qualenvi” in recognition of its respect for the environment in all phases of production.
The 2019 Le Petit Nicolas Malbec is deep red in hue, full of energy in the mouth, and an absolute delight to drink.
