2019 Aurelia Cellars Arroyo Seco, California Riesling

The wine was crafted from grapes grown in Monterey County’s Arroyo Seco sub-appellation. One of California’s smallest growing areas at just 18,240 acres, Arroyo Seco encompasses portions of two towns (Soledad and Greenfield). In the rural, western extremes of these townships, the Santa Lucia Mountains rise dramatically, creating the western boundary of the Salinas Valley, and provide the setting for one of California's earliest recognized viticultural areas. Distinct geographic factors unite to form a climate that’s ideal for growing Riesling.
