About This Wine:
As an example, during World War II, women’s swim suits gradually “grew” smaller, evolving first to widespread two-piece designs, and ultimately to the bikini— deemed a new fashion standard in some quarters, and downright scandalous in others.
The bikini was created by French designer Louis Reard and made its debut on July 5, 1946. That same year, a handful of grape growers anxious to take their destiny into their own hands formed the Société des Producteurs de Blanquette de Limoux. During the 1990s, it was renamed Sieur d'Arques. Since its beginning, the House promoted the work of artisan winemakers like those who populate the cellars of Maison des Jardins.
A champion of wines from southern France, Maison des Jardins is known throughout the Languedoc region for its exceptional Chardonnay. The 2019 vintage honors the tradition established in 1946 with an amazingly complex, delicious and non-scandalous cuvee.
