About This Wine:

“Croma Vera” is a Latin phrase (using a dose of artistic license) meaning “true colors.” The winery was founded by Mindy Oliver, who believes in guiding meticulously farmed grapes with minimal intervention, allowing the vineyards to show their true colors.

Croma Vera’s grapes, from California’s Paso Robles AVA, are picked and sorted by hand. The wines are produced in small quantities because Oliver and winemaker Jeremy Leffert believe a high level of focus and attention to detail results in exceptional wines.

“Croma Vera” also is a nod to Oliver’s background as a graphic artist (she designed the logo and the labels). Meanwhile, Leffert took some artistic license in the cellar with the 2017 Cabernet Sauvignon, adding a small portion not of one of the “usual” Bordeaux varietals such as Merlot or Cabernet Franc, but rather Petite Sirah. The result: a wine that’s a true artistic success.
