2018 Aaron Wines Paso Robles, California 'Sand & Stone' Red Blend

Founded in 2002 and located in California’s Paso Robles region, the winery focuses on a variety that has no international benchmark: Petite Sirah. In addition to crafting varietal bottlings, Aaron makes a sublime cuvee called “Sand & Stone” that was born out of the owners’ love of Grenache.

“Sand & Stone” showcases the vibrant nature of Grenache and the power and structure of Petite Sirah — a perfect marriage. Of all the Aaron cuvees, it’s always the freshest and juiciest, with striking aromatics.

Grenache thrives in the limestone soils of Paso Robles, where it seems as well suited as in its traditional Southern Rhone home. Coupled with the powerful nature of Petite Sirah, the 2018 “Sand & Stone” — of which only 235 cases were made — showcases how drinkable and enjoyable a powerful wine can be.
