2017 Spring Seed Wine Co. 'Scarlet Runner' McLaren Vale, Australia Shiraz

The Spring Seed labels are inspired by vintage flower seed packets created in the late 1800s and early 1900s. The color, clarity and beauty of the original seed packets are quite remarkable and, we’re sure you’ll agree, perfect for wine labels.

Spring Seed chose three different flower images to adorn each of its McLaren Vale (Australia) wines simply because they are quite lovely. The “Scarlet Runner” Shiraz labels feature Hardy and Half Hardy Climbers, Centaurea and Zinnia.

The old-fashioned look of the seed packets (and the labels), along with the painstaking attention to detail involved in the creation of the original artwork, resonate clearly in the traditional, meticulous practices employed in both Spring Seed’s vineyard and winemaking. The 2017 Shiraz is a wonderful, fruit-forward, spicy elixir that delights in a wine glass and through its label.
