About This Wine:
Soon, the estate was being referred to simply as BB. Over time, BB would begin leaving its mark on Parisian hot spots from Le Louvre to Le Palais de l’Elysée. It remained in vogue during the Années Folles, celebrating the fervor of cabarets, before focusing on the freedom inspiration of the 1960s Saint-Tropez.
Its fans embraced the concept of “being free by BB.” As its makers say, you cannot teach or learn BB; rather, you share BB, you tell BB and you live BB.
Cellarmaster Cédric Thiébault sources grapes for the Besserat de Bellefon “Bleu” Brut in the best villages of Champagne, and adds just a touch of “liqueur de tirage” (a mix of sugar, yeast and must) at the moment of bottling to create lighter effervescence. The resulting mousse is smooth, creamy and persistent — making BB “Bleu” a Brut worth experiencing.
