2019 Fulcrum Napa Valley, California Cabernet Sauvignon

He was fascinated by how master craftsman Norm Abram would take a piece of wood and turn it into a meticulously wrought dresser, chest or bookshelf. Though he had no woodworking skills of his own, Rossi admired the perfection of the detail, the elegance of the joinery and the obsessive commitment to craft.

In the early 1990s, Rossi found his own craft when he started making small lots of wine in his basement. Today, he’s a respected winemaker in California’s North Coast region, making wines under the Fulcrum label.

The 2019 growing season was marked by a cool spring, warm summer temperatures and a cool harvest. Fulcrum’s Cabernet Sauvignon grapes were brought in at the perfect time, providing Rossi with ideal “ingredients” for making a memorable wine. The finished cuvee is beautifully balanced and silky in style — a true work of craftsmanship.
