NV Champagne Duménil 'Premier Cru, Cuvee Jany Poret' Champagne, France

A special cuvee made from two acclaimed Premier Cru vineyards in Chigny-les-Roses and Rilly-la-Montagne et Ludes.

Champagne Dumenil was founded in 1874 by Mr. Elie and Cecile Dumenil. The family tradition has been passed on to the great-granddaughter of the founders, Mrs. Frédérique Poret-Rebeyrolle, along with her husband, Hugues Poret. Both coming from winemaking families, Hugues is in charge of the vineyards, while Frédérique is assisted by her mother with the winemaking. The grapes come from both Frederique’s and Hugue’s sides of the family. Both the fruit and the families play equal roles in bringing the spirit of Champagne Duménil to life.

The cuvee known as “Janey Poret” is made from 60% reserve wine that has spent a minimum of three years aging in the cellar. It’s a three-variety wine that tickles the nose, dazzles the palate and defines elegance — a perfect marriage in a Champagne flute.
