2019 Whispering Branch California Sauvignon Blanc

Some varieties are more impacted by those variables than others. To put it in winespeak, they “show” differently depending on where they’re grown. That’s certainly true of Sauvignon Blanc, which reveals different aspects of its aroma and flavor spectrum in California than it does, say, in New Zealand.

For its 2019 Sauvignon Blanc, Whispering Branch was able to source grapes from a number of California growing regions. This enabled the winemaker to experiment with different portions and various cuvees, and ultimately blend to a vision of what a 2019 California Sauvignon Blanc could be.

The finished wine? Dry and crisp, with engaging fruit flavors accented by other notes that the variety is known for “showing.” It’s a California cuvee that is both fun to drink and pairs nicely with lighter fare such as salads, seafood-based dishes or your favorite chicken dish.
