About This Wine:
The Central Valley of Chile is one of the most important wine-producing areas in South America. It also is one of the largest wine regions, stretching from the Maipo Valley south of Santiago to the southern end of the Maule Valley. That’s a distance of nearly 250 miles and covers a number of climate variations. It should not be confused with Chile’s geological Central Valley, which runs north-south for more than 620 miles between the Pacific Coastal Ranges and the lower Andes.
A wide variety of wine styles can be found in this large area, including outstanding renditions of Cabernet Sauvignon. Year in and year out, Chile proves that the Bordeaux appellation of France and California’s Napa Valley are not the only sources of world-class Cabernet.
The 2021 vintage from El Guardian provides an opportunity to experience a fine Cabernet in its youth. Full and fresh, it will make an important addition to your wine collection.
