2018 Laetitia Cuvee M Arroyo Grande Valley Sparkling Blend

One unexpected corner is the Arroyo Grande Valley in California’s San Luis Obispo County. Wine grapes are grown throughout that county, but the grapes used to make the sparkling wines at the Laetitia estate are planted a mere four miles from the ocean.

That provides for a maritime climate in the vineyard, ideal for growing the highest-quality Chardonnay and Pinot Noir — the two varieties that are used to craft Laetitia’s stunning “Cuvee M” sparkling wine.

For the 2018 vintage, the grapes were hand harvested, whole cluster pressed and tank fermented with Prise de Mousse Champagne yeast. The wine is encouraged to undergo malolactic fermentation and then bottled in the springtime, mirroring true Methode Champenoise tradition. With a floral aroma, a dense and creamy mouthfeel, fresh fruit flavors and a vanilla cream finish, the “Cuvee M” is a wine worthy of your family’s most important celebrations.
